Have to rant.
I was really happy earlier, and then I read a news story about a man who raped a five month old baby.
Get that. FIVE. MONTH. OLD. BABY.
I can’t imagine anything more horrid.
That article is more than a year old now, and I wonder what has happened to that man (Can he even be called a man?! Sick bastard), the poor baby, and the mother of the child, who was, actually the girlfriend of the...
On food and its attending pleasures.
I don’t really cook much, but I thought I’d use the holidays as a chance to brush up on my cooking skills.
I’ve realised is that I really do quite enjoy it. There’s a rhythm to all the slicing, cutting, and all that’s somehow…soothing.
I especially enjoyed making this salad pictured above. I saw those Japanese cucumbers in the supermarket a few days ago,...

The Christmas of 2009
As I write, it’s already Boxing Day where I live. But I felt I should chronicle this year’s Christmas, even though nothing spectacular happened.
The truth is, I rather loathe special occasions like this. When everyone else is out there is attending Christmas parties and having fun (or so I assume), I usually end up alone at home, with not even anyone to talk to online.
Being single...
British or American? That is the question.
To-may-do, to-mah-toh. All the same, right? In spelling, yes.
But then, how about things like behaviour/behavior, or standardise/standardize?
I have an - admittedly puny - dilemma.
Before I owned a computer I had no such dilemma. Growing up in Singapore, which used to be a British colony, I have proudly spelt the British way all my life.
The problem is, Microsoft Word insists on...

Love is a choice?
“There’s no doubt about it, attraction is uncontrollable and arousal is uncontrollable. But attraction and arousal are not love. They can lead to love, but they are not love. Love is a choice.”
From a friend’s FB status.
This is what I was taught years ago at my first church as well. I believed it. At that time it made it easier for me to understand and get a grip on...

But which will likely offend a lot of people, were I to express these views in a more public arena such as FaceBook. This reminds me of a tweet by Brandy (the once-famous singing sensation) that if she were to speak her mind, people wouldn’t be able to handle it, so instead she speaks from her heart. If you think you can handle it…

7:33 AM
Is the time as I type. I haven’t slept. Spent the last couple of hours writing the discussion part of my thesis. Feeling fairly sick of it already. Crying, attachment, emotion regulation - I shall be glad to be rid of you by next week!
I am beyond the point of being sleepy. Tired, but I’m on an adrenaline buzz. Besides, I hate sleeping when the sun has already come up.
Right now...
Few hours later...
I lost count of how many times I changed the layout. Lol. Obsessive layout changing!
?
Trying something new and it’s confusing me already. How do I change the theme? I could just now and now I can’t seem the find the button.
Anyway…hey, it’s cool that I don’t need to hit ‘Enter’ twice to go to a new paragraph. But I’ve digressed, as I often do. What I want to say is…
