Not noteworthy to anyone but myself really…
I wanted to look for Mr B today to double-check something which didn’t really need double-checking actually. Because I already knew the answer.
Somehow, I decided to call him instead. I guess I was afraid to err…come on too strong? I dono. I just feel silly running around doing all these things when he probably doesn’t care lah.
He picked up the phone very quickly and said, “Hello, good morning.”
Haha! Reminds me of a HR staff who would say, “Hello good morning to you,” when people called her.
I used to say, “Morning/afternoon Esther speaking” but then dropped the “morning/afternoon” bit because sometimes I got confused whether it was morning or afternoon… =.= then I dropped saying my name even because I got lazy lol. I realised that Markus actually followed my example when I was doing that but now that I’m not he stopped doing it too!
Anyway most people who call me know who they are looking for, it’s a very specific extension. But a lot of the time they call me when they’re actually looking for someone else. Haha!
Okok digressed as usual.
Why am I blogging this? There wasn’t anything special about the conversation also lah. There was a mistake on the roster where he was reflected as working this afternoon when actually he’s going for training. He hadn’t even realised it himself.
And he went like, “Whaaaatttt??” when I told him about the mistake. Haha that made me smile.
“Yeah, you didn’t realise?”
“Can you please tell everyone that I’m not working this afternoon?”
I laughed and said something like, “Ok, ok.”
Actually I already told them yesterday.
Haha. Can’t remember if I said bye. I think I just put down the phone actually.
Then I called M to tell him because he has been away and probably didn’t realise. And that was another funny conversation because he couldn’t seem to get what I was trying to say.
Was trying to tell him that Room 15 (Mr B’s room today) would be empty in the afternoon as he’s not working. And he said, “Oh so Room 14 and 15 empty in the afternoon?”
“Nooo, only Room 15 cos’ Mr B is having training.”
“So Mr B is not around in the morning but will come back in the afternoon?”
“No!!! He is working in the morning but afternoon he got training.”
Omg lol. I think his brain was fried from being sick or something.
For some reason, we always refer to Mr B either using his surname, cos’ he has a pretty unusual surname (sorta). Like, “That Tan”. Or we say his full name. Not sure why. Maybe because M doesn’t actually know how to pronounce Mr B’s name…he’s pretty bad with names. I remember he mispelt Mr B’s name wrongly twice while responding to the latter’s email. And it’s not like Mr B didn’t spell his name properly in the email! M does this with other people’s names also…but at least he knows how to spell ‘Esther’ lah. Unlike a certain doctor who keeps calling me ‘Ester’ after ALL this time.
Ok gonna end this post and continue packing…
